Our Delivery Service — Quick, Reliable & Well-Handled
We pride ourselves on dispatching your order quickly and carefully.
Most in-stock items leave our warehouse within 2–3 working days, and parcels are shipped via Royal Mail, APC or DPD depending on weight and postcode area.
Deliveries to remote areas such as The Scottish Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland and all off-shore areas usually take 2–5 working days once dispatched.
During exceptionally busy periods or while awaiting new stock, dispatch may take a little longer. If your order is expected to take more than 7 days to leave us, we’ll contact you by email or phone to keep you updated.
Delivery & Safe-Place Information
Couriers often leave parcels in a safe place if no one is home.
If you prefer parcels not to be left unattended, please tell us at checkout and we’ll note this on your order.
Once goods reach your address, they become your responsibility.
Very occasionally parcels go missing — please ensure someone is available to receive your delivery, especially for larger orders.

Same Day Shipping Option (Monday–Friday)
Need it faster? You can upgrade to Same Day Shipping:
β Orders placed before 12 noon are dispatched the same day (subject to stock)
β Orders placed after 12 noon dispatch the next working day
β Orders placed before 12 noon Friday will be shipped for delivery for Monday.
Please note that our commitment is to dispatch same day — delivery timing depends on courier performance, postcode areas and other factors outside our control.
Parcel Deliveries
On the day of delivery, your courier will normally send you a time window.
If nobody is available and the parcel isn’t left in a safe place:
β The courier will email/text or leave a card
β You will need to re-arrange delivery or collect from a shop
If parcels are returned to us because they are not collected, we will refund goods only, not shipping costs.
Pallet Deliveries
β Our pallet delivery charges apply to UK Mainland only
β If your postcode is outside standard coverage, we will contact you with updated pricing
β If you need a booked-in delivery time, let us know when ordering
If a pallet cannot be delivered because no one was available, carriers apply re-delivery charges — these will be passed on to you. We are happy to request ETA updates to help avoid this.

Remote Areas & Island Delivery Rates
The following postcodes are typically deemed to be remote**. Sadly we do reserve the right to contact you and ask for additional shipping costs or cancel your order - if the shipping costs are really above and beyond what is reasonable.
For Highlands and Islands of Scotland the delivery charge is £17.99 per box (maximum 20 kilos).

Scottish Islands - HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3
**Please note this postcode list applies to parcel deliveries only. If your order needs to travel by pallet, we will contact you separately to discuss individual charges.
Isle of Man IM postcodes is charged at £18.95 per 20kg box
Northern Ireland is charged at £19.95 per 20kg box. However should your order require to be packed in more than one box you will be contacted with a quotation for shipping.
Channel Islands is charged at £18.95 per 20kg box. We use several courier companies in order to obtain the very best delivery charges for our customers and will always quote the most economical method of shipping orders.
Scilly Islands TR postcodes delivery charge is £18.95 per 20kg box
Southern Ireland is charged at £29.95 for the first 20kg box and £24.95 per 20kg box thereafter.
European & International Delivery
β European orders are shipped via the most economical courier available to your area.

We will need to quote you for shipping on large or multi-box European shipments, we will contact you to confirm the total cost before dispatch.
For worldwide delivery, we will quote shipping before processing your order.
Orders over £200 require payment via BACS once shipping has been confirmed.

Zone 2: Austria, Denmark: £31.95 (Transit time from dispatch 3-4 days)
Zone 3: Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia, Spain: £31.95 (Transit time from dispatch 3-4 days)
Zone 4: Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia and Sweden: £42.95 (Transit time from dispatch 4-5 days)
Zone 5: Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Greek Islands, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania: £54.95 (Transit time from dispatch 4-6 days)

Breakages & Damages
We pack orders carefully — but glass breaks occasionally.
If anything arrives broken:

β We will either replace the items or refund the value of the damaged goods
Sometimes breakages occur during transit. If this should occur please notify our customer services department on 01477 537224 or by email at info@waresofknutsford.co.uk and replacement items will be sent out or a refund given. For clarity, we reserve the right to issue a refund for the value of the goods broken, rather than replace the goods, particularly where the value of the goods is low. Thank you.
