What can one say about glass jam jars?
That, being jars, they're good at containing things?
That, being transparent, it's easy to see what's inside?
That because they're glass - an inert substance - they're food-safe and easily sterilised?
That they're infinitely re-usable?
Even that, being jam jars, they're the very thing in to which to pour freshly-made preserves?
They have only one weakness that I have encountered, which is their low toughness, hence low resistance to thermal or mechanical shock. If you can avoid dropping them on to a hard surface, or pouring boiling jam into them without pre-heating, then you'll have years of trouble-free fun.
